Aurora Health Care offers four PGY1/2 HSPAL positions each year, based primarily at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. The first year is primarily clinically focused and awards a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice certificate; the second year is focused on leadership with the system pharmacy team. A Master of Science (MS) degree is offered as an optional experience through the University of North Carolina, which is a fully virtual program in collaboration with several other prestigious HSPAL programs across the country.
Residency Special Features: For applicants without prior residency experience, the PGY2 pharmacy administration residency is combined with the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice program – Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc (Wisconsin) – and completed in 24 months. The PGY2 resident is a member of the administrative team for the health system's department of pharmacy. The resident gains experience in all aspects of pharmacy practice management within a complex organization. Core learning experiences include drug use policy, purchasing/inventory control, pharmacy operations, automation/technology, inpatient supervision, financial management, clinical, and ambulatory care management. Experiences are tailored to meet each resident's individual goals and interests.

Special Requirements for Acceptance: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy, eligibility for Wisconsin pharmacist licensure, and US citizenship or permanent residency.
