Job Description
Saint Luke's in Kansas City is seeking a skilled Information Systems Educator. This position will work within the Training Team to develop and conduct computer education programs to facilitate end user competence and productivity in the use of information technologies. The focus of this position will teach ambulatory education using the Epic charting system.
Works as a member of the Training Team, developing and conducting education geared toward end-users for the purpose of increasing their competence and productivity in using information technologies.
Acts as an owner of at least one Epic Application as it relates to education, building and maintaining a training-specific copy of Epic and associated practice patients, working with Epic analysts, and delivering ongoing education for software changes.
Creates and maintains curriculum, including course descriptions, outlines, practice exercises, tipsheets, assessments, and other associated materials.
Conducts instructor-led classes, both in person and virtually.
Assists HR with new employee onboarding related to registration, scheduling, and communication of required training classes.
Partners with Visual Learning Developers to produce eLearning modules, specifically by formulating process flows and storyboards that ensure content matches learning needs.
Works with team members to measure performance gaps by defining goals, gathering data, analyzing results, and implementing improvements.
Functions as a liaison between Information Services and the clinical end-user community.
We are looking for candidates with strong facilitation skills and be adept to promoting and ensuring the acceptance of new technologies. Must be self-directed and comfortable with learning and using technology.
Epic and Ambulatory experience is a plus.
