ABYC is in search of our next great team member. The position of Office Assistant is a critical support role to help us achieve our mission of safer boating. This is an in-office position. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, have the ability to multi-task and is well-versed with MS office and willing to learn our back-office association management software. In addition to keeping our office running smoothly, several departments rely on this position to help in the best customer experience possible. This position is often the front line of customer service both email and phone, applicants should be confident in their writing and verbal communication. This position will also assist the president with board scheduling, communications and expense tracking.
Duties include: Department-wide order fulfillment, shipping (domestic & International) and receiving Office equipment management Compiling & mailing certificates, membership mailings, certification information & accreditation packages Mail merge bulk mailings weekly. Office supply ordering and stocking Answering the main line, directing calls and answering customer inquiries Responding to and forwarding website inquiries and general departmental emails Managing data, taking payments, billing and information updates Attend weekly staff meetings for all staff, education, membership and others as needed. Managing work space Participate in various campaigns and projects for all departments as needed. Administrative support for school accreditation program (MTAP): Communications, scheduling, organizing applications, visits and online forums, invoicing & customer service. Software used includes: Impexium, Wix, Wordpress, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, MS Office This is a full-time position with benefits. ABYC offers health, dental, 401K, disability, and life insurance. ABYC is a nonprofit organization. Enthusiasm for boating is a plus but not essential. We work on a 9 hour day M-Th and close at noon on Fridays.
