This position is 32 hours per week and located in Xenia, OH.
Responsible for providing support to the ANR Program in Greene County, with emphasis on horticulture, and assuring the effective training, utilization, and involvement of Master Gardeners Volunteers (MGV) in Greene County by working in cooperation with all OSU and Extension staff under the direct daily supervision of the Agriculture and Natural (ANR) Educator; responding to homeowner horticulture inquiries; coordinating the Greene County MGV program, in accordance with OSU policies and procedures; identifying and disseminating information on MGV volunteer opportunities and assuring that current members meet certification and ongoing participation requirements; supporting, planning, organizing, and conducting ANR Extension programs; helping to develop educational materials, presentations, and resources for the community; assisting with outreach efforts to promote ANR extension programs and services, and the MGV program to the community through various approaches such as community events, social media, newsletters, blogs, and county website; assisting local ANR research by collecting samples of ongoing projects; providing administrative support such as maintaining records, and coordinating logistics for events and activities; collaborating with other extension professionals, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, community groups, MGV Advisory Board, and MGV members; and engaging in professional development activities to stay updated on current research, best practices, and emerging trends in agriculture, natural resources, and extension education.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this profile is $16.49-$21.69/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
