The Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) serves over 150 schools and teacher training institutions in North America. We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization seeking a detail-oriented Office Business Manager to oversee our essential business operations. This role is responsible for HR processing, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and audit coordination. The ideal candidate brings nonprofit experience, strong accounting skills, and the ability to work independently—whether remotely or locally in the Longmont, Colorado area.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HR administrative processes, including onboarding and employee records
- Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations
- Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and expense tracking
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely invoicing and collections
- Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
- Prepare and review financial reports (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Support annual budget development and financial planning
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for annual audits and filings
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and nonprofit accounting standards
