1. Designs and develops websites, e-newsletters, and applications using existing tools and platforms. 2. Produces graphic design elements, functional components, and templates. 3. Makes visual and functional enhancements to Yale's "front door" website at Yale.edu, the university's news website at news.yale.edu, and other websites managed by OPAC. 4. Collaborates with OPAC's content producers and videographers to ensure visual consistency and accessibility compliance across our digital properties. 5. Provides expert guidance to campus communicators and technologists on Yale's visual identity standards, including proper use of the wordmark, typography, and other branded elements in the university's digital space. 6. Acts as a key partner to Information Technology Services on projects and initiatives impacting the university's communications community, ensuring adherence to Yale's identity standards and design best practices. 7. Assists the Director with project coordination on complex projects. 8. Remains current on best practices in UX, responsive design, mobile technologies, and accessibility.
Preferred Education: Experience with Drupal theming. Experience with email marketing tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar platform. Experience working in a higher education or large nonprofit setting.
