Position Summary
The Program Manager for Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology develops, plans, schedules, implements, and evaluates program services, and provides direct oversight of clinical and research activities within the program. The Program Manager also contributes to program strategic planning, design of program content and policies, budgeting, marketing, and outreach.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with leadership on the planning and development of program content, including setting program priorities and performance standards; researches and identifies trends and needs and establishes program direction accordingly
Plans and conducts quality assurance reviews and recommends changes as appropriate; assesses quality of program operations; modifies existing program services or creates new program offerings to maintain or enhance program standing; links program with other relevant programs/divisions within MHS and with other AYA oncology programs, nonprofits, and other national and/or international stakeholders
Collaborates in the development and administration of program operating and administrative policies; manages the dissemination, interpretation, and application of program policies and recommends and/or makes exceptions.
Manages the delivery of services to program participants.
Develops and conducts program-focused training and assesses proficiency or readiness of trainees.
Serves as a key resource for program information; resolves problems or questions referred by program or other MHS staff; communicates with staff, and external contacts for work or information exchange regarding program services or content; assists marketing in developing strategies for marketing and program promotion.
Identifies published fundraising and development opportunities; seeks funds for program operations from private and public sources; collaborates with others to write grants to fund program.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred (MSN or ARNP)
Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
Three (3) years of recent clinical experience in area of specialty (AYA cancer) required
Experience conducting research with AYAs with cancer preferred
Experience as a team member within an established AYA program preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $120,328.00 - $180,482.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicants years of experience align.
