George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA has an opening for a Leadership Gifts Officer. This role will advance George School’s fundraising efforts by successfully cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding leadership gifts at the $10,000+ level.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of 120 major donor prospects.
Complete 120 donor visits annually.
Secure broad-based financial support through face-to-face and virtual meetings and engage with donors, prospective donors, and volunteers in a variety of settings.
Work closely with members of the Advancement team and the Head of School to collaboratively identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective donors.
Develop individual cultivation, engagement, and stewardship strategies for donors and prospects.
Write visit reports and provide recommendations to the advancement team for stewardship and follow-up strategies.
Prepare gift proposals for submission to prospective major donors.
Attend and support on- and off-campus volunteer/donor functions.
Fulfill George School social duty requirements as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Two or more years of successful major gift fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit or independent school setting.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) and familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or another fundraising database.
Must be able to travel extensively (locally, regionally, and internationally).
Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and a successful track record of cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts.
Ability to lead, take initiative, and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills required.
