The Michigan Trucking Association (MTA), headquartered in Lansing, MI is seeking applicants for a Full-Time Registration Coordinator to support the MTA Education Center Inc. projects. This presents an exceptional opportunity for an individual who demonstrates strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding communication abilities.
The Registration Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the registration process for the MTA Skid Pad Safety Training project. This role involves managing participant registrations, ensuring accurate data entry, and providing exceptional customer service to all registrants and industry personnel. This role also provides administrative support to the Project Director and team as needed.
Education
Education acquired through completion of high school and with college level training.
Experience
Experience in Association Management Software (AMS) and other online registration systems, along with a strong background in database management.
Responsibilities
Registration Coordinator
• Facilitate and manage the registration process for Skid Pad Safety Training utilizing an online registration system. • Coordinate and establish training schedules. • Verify that participants fulfill all training prerequisites. • Adjust training dates for participants, as necessary. • Process refund requests for participants when applicable. • Confirm attendee participation. • Manage certificate processing. • Generate monthly attendance reports. • Engage in effective communication with industry professionals. • Perform other responsibilities as needed. Office Support • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite. • Document organization and filing systems. • Manage mailing processes for USPS and UPS. • Create and update monthly reports as required. • Assemble comprehensive training packets. • Conduct thorough product research, when needed. • Assist with procurement processes and manage requests for quotes and proposals. • Supervise the inventory management of office supplies, materials, and other necessary items. Bookkeeping (limited) • Overseeing accounts payable operations • Facilitating the processing and issuance of paper checks as needed • Executing online bill payment transactions • Coordinating with our accounting firm as necessary • Additional administrative duties may be required to effectively support the MTA.
Additional Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Knowledge of general office equipment, including computers, copiers, and fax machines. • Ability to multitask, work independently, and efficiently under deadlines. • Willingness to travel, when needed. • Have a clean motor vehicle driving record. • Able to lift 15 pounds
