THIS IS A FULL-TIME, 10-MONTH POSITION FROM THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER
Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full-service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Conference Services Manager. This full-time, 10-month position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, and other perks. POSITION SUMMARY
The Conference Service Manager is a detail-oriented planning professional, possessing excellent event management and clerical skills. The Conference Service Manager will be assigned groups and weddings that will be handled in detail by the CSM. This will include room setup, menu planning, billing, and any details related to the event. The position is also responsible for communicating all details to Mission Point staff and to ensure successful execution.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
Minimum two years experience Event Management/Conference Services
Ability to live on or travel to and work on Mackinac Island for the summer season
Knowledge of principles and practices within the catering, food and beverage and hospitality professions
Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
May be required to work varying schedules as reflected by business needs of the hotel
