The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA), founded in 1891, is a nonprofit organization whose objective is to "promote, influence, and assist in financing the varsity athletic programs of the midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy" in accordance with the policy of the Superintendent of the Academy. Through an intercollegiate athletics program that is one of the largest in the country, every midshipman is afforded the opportunity to compete in athletics at the Division I level. The emphasis on physical fitness is borne out in the first line of the mission of the U.S. Naval Academy: To develop midshipmen morally, mentally and physically.
Summary
Under the daily supervision of the Associate Director of Ticket Sales and Digital Marketing, this position has the responsibility for the successful administration of group, season, single game ticket, and Blue & Gold membership sales. This position shall work effectively with the entire staff of the athletic to ensure all efforts to maximize sales in revenue producing sports are successfully coordinated and executed. In addition, this position shall promote and attempt to secure to secure all sporting events on the Yard.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Generate revenue through a full menu of ticket products for Football, Basketball and other athletic ticketed events, via outbound phone calls and face- to-face presentations including, but not limited to, season tickets, mini plans, group tickets, premium tickets, and premium hospitality packages.
Cultivate relationships with current clients and alumni to generate and service new and existing Blue & Gold memberships.
Prospect, sell, and organize group sales efforts for all ticketed sports. Including theme days for each of these ticketed sports.
Assist with the planning and administration of all game day activities and logistics as specifically related to customer service, group fulfillment, ticket operations and lead generation.
Coordinate with the marketing department the execution and sale of the Navyfest area on football game days. Service predetermined existing clients.
Solicit perspective buyers via phone, mail, internet, personally, and through other media extensions.
Create new avenues for revenue generation.
Assist with sales reporting and planning.
Assist with ticket operations & development projects as needed.
Significant involvement in game day operations with hospitality & tailgating areas, stadium parking, and ticket operations.
Establish a grass roots relationship between the general public and the athletic department.
Serve as a staff member of a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) - sanctioned athletics program, and understands that NCAA rules and regulations must be followed and strictly adhered to. Maintains an understanding and awareness of applicable NCAA rules via annual compliance briefs to staff, the NCAA Manual, copies of which are maintained in the Compliance Office, regular compliance item e-mails generated by the Compliance Office, and the NCAA official website (ncaapublications.com – Div I Manual). Immediately notifies the Compliance Office if a potential violation of NCAA rules is observed. Understands that non-compliance with NCAA rules and regulations may be grounds for termination of employment.
Perform related duties as requested by the Association Athletic Director of Ticket Sales and Digital Marketing and/or Deputy Director of Athletics.

Qualifications
Experience, Education, & Certification(s)
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent required.
Experience and proven success in an inside sales program or ticket sales role preferred.
Experience with ticketing software and CRM program a preferred.
Previous customer service or retail sales experience; display a genuine desire to help people.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Comfort with making outbound phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude and desire and ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry.
Comfort with working nights and weekends.
Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail oriented
Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills
Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative

Additional Eligibility Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America, without sponsorship.
Must be eligible to work on a military installation, including a willingness to submit to a background screen.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and phone.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Perform duties in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Occasionally moves in boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Travel
Limited travel as needed with a ticketed sport at the discretion of the position supervisor. Travel may include overnight trips to locations where the competition is taking place.
