Position Overview: San Francisco Bay University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Provost for International Programs to develop and support the business operations, design, and delivery of remote educational offerings to students still residing in their country of origin. This is a full-time, remote, staff position, reporting to the Provost, that offers an exciting opportunity to help transform higher education. Through the cultivation, development, and management of innovative partnerships and other entrepreneurial ventures, the Assistant Provost for International Programs will seek, evaluate, and execute growth in new markets of educational opportunity through which SFBU can have an impact by delivering high-quality degree offerings. This is a 12-month contract renewable contingent upon performance review. Work location is remote, with period travel required.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key SFBU departments to drive revenue, ensure compliance with accreditors and other regulations, and guarantee program quality.
Working with senior team members to identify and manage risks that might prevent growth.
Develop and manage in-country international academic programs, ideally in Business, Computer Science, and/or Psychology.
Play a key role as SFBU delivers innovative, high-quality, student-centric education through 4+0, 3+1, and dual-degree programming that combines academic expertise with real-world, practical experience.
Establish external innovation partnerships, strategies, and best practices by defining clear objectives and measuring outcomes.
Identifying and researching growth opportunities that come up in new and existing markets.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business, Management, International Relations, or a related field.
5-7 years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience leading teams within a complex organization (higher education, government, private sector, or NGO).
Demonstrated successful experience managing in-country international programs at a college or university.
Experience preparing P&L statements.
Strong communication skills, data literacy, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, faculty, staff, colleagues, students, and international partners.
Excellent business acumen, attention to detail, and intercultural awareness.
Ability to prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to potential new clients.
Capacity to innovate, creating new processes and structures across distribution network.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and practice.
Periodic travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in Business, Management, International Relations, or a related field.
Experience in curriculum development, program coordination, and Registrar functions.
Salary:
Starting salary with some experience $105,000-$130,000/year, depending on experience. 12-month contract renewable contingent upon performance review.
