San Francisco Bay University (SFBU), a small-sized nonprofit, WASC-accredited, university situated in the heart of Silicon Valley in Fremont, California, seeks an innovative and experienced enrollment professional to serve as a Graduate Enrollment Counselor. SFBU is a new and rebranded university currently offering degrees in computer science (BS, MS), electrical engineering (MS), business (BABS/MBA), and professional educational programs.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Interim Director of Graduate Admissions, the Graduate Enrollment Counselor is a key member of the Enrollment team. This role involves actively recruiting and enrolling students by attending graduate school fairs, visiting four-year institutions and employers to host virtual and in-person informational sessions, and coordinating or participating in additional programming. This is a full-time exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Actively recruit and enroll prospective graduate students.
Represent the university locally and out of state in support of recruiting efforts.
Work collaboratively with enrollment leadership to develop and conduct yield activities.
Maintain situational awareness of assigned enrollment funnels.
Participate in campus and virtual events, especially Accepted Student Day, New Student Orientation, Open House, and other informational events.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and alignment with the university's mission, vision, and values.
Stay informed about the university's academic programs, support services, and co-curricular offerings.
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, delivering clear and accurate information, and maintaining positive relationships.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni, to coordinate recruitment efforts.
Provide guidance to prospective students about enrollment policies and procedures, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns to provide effective solutions.
Evaluate applications for admission and follow up with applicants.
Assist in the creation of promotional materials for recruiting activities.
Maintain strict confidentiality of records, correspondence, and sensitive information.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.
1-2 years of direct admissions experience; related experience; or equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education;
Must be able to travel in state and out of state. Will be required to work evenings and weekends as well as extended hours during peak periods.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, both independently and collaboratively.
The position requires excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledgeable of higher education enrollment and general university functions and services.
Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth.
Proficient with computers, including browser-based software services, Microsoft Office, CRMs, and email. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000, DOE.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
The employee is required to crouch, walk, reach, grasp, carry, and push.
The employee is occasionally required to sit or stand for long periods.
