Purpose: Serve in a leadership capacity at the branch, actively coaching, motivating, and developing branch staff to optimal levels of performance that meet and/or exceed branch goals. Oversee all branch functions. Develop strong customer relationships to maintain and grow new business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage/Coach Branch Staff: Establish individual and team service, sales and operational goals, and actively coach, motivate and develop Assistant Branch Managers and Personal Bankers to achieve those goals, delegating responsibility to assure individual growth. Create and maintain open communication and an environment of success. Coach and develop customer serviceexcellence and relationship building within the Branch team. Provide or direct training, coaching, and discipline for all retail staff. Complete performance evaluations for direct reports, communicate policies and procedures. (30%)
Build Strong Relationships as you provide and help create an outstanding service experience for all new and prospective customers in the areas of New Business Development and Account Management:
New Business Development: Solicit, originate process and close deposit transactions and consumer, real estate, and commercial loans. Manage overall delivery of West Bank deposits, products and services and referrals, meeting or exceeding Branch growth goals and compliance requirements. (30%)
Account Management (Existing Customers): Serves as the branch’s primary retail and small business customer relations representative. Manage a portfolio of customers directly assigned to the Manager, including customer retention and expansion calls. Lending/controlling delinquency, loan review. (30%)
Operations: Responsible for both strategic and operational planning for the branch. Direct all branch operational functions including personnel, and physical plant maintenance. Coordinate management of branch property, equipment and supplies. Make sure facility is safe, secure andoperational. (5%)
Build Strong Communities: Participate in community events, including serving on the board of at least one nonprofit organization, serving in a leadership position of at least two community organizations, staffing at least two events (art festivals, community celebrations, etc.), hosting a customer at an outside event at least twelve times per year, representing West Bank as requested by attending at least two luncheons, dinners, or receptions, and participating in at least two community festivals (parades, bank-sponsored outreach events, etc.) per year. (5%)
Bachelors Degree, emphasis in Business or Marketing, or AA. Miscellaneous banking and business classes, Iowa Credit insurance license. Experience in all aspects of retail and commercial sales and lending. 7+ years of banking experience. Computer experience (MS Word, Excel , Outlook), Banking related systems experience helpful. Great customer service skills, good problem solver, strong communication and coaching skills
