*This position is located in Rosemont, IL, just outside of Chicago by O'Hare Airport. It requires the individual to be in-person 2x per week and does not provide a relocation package.

POSITION SUMMARY
AANA is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to infuse new ideas and advance programs for member engagement, recruit new members and foster a connected community. Through proactive engagement and recruitment strategies, the Membership Specialist will be involved in all aspects of membership from dues billing, mentorship programs, online communities and more. An inquisitive and analytical perspective is needed to dive deep into data to better understand member behavior.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with launching a recruitment campaign by infusing new ideas, monitoring campaigns and creating original messaging.
Develop reporting to show growth and utilization of programs and member satisfaction, assess performance and analyze engagement efforts, and work with other department/staff on cross-promotional opportunities to build a structure that establishes value for the members.
Liaison with other departments to increase understanding of membership value and benefits while continuing to learn about potential member benefits.
Coordinate and execute the membership dues renewal process, with the support of the IT, Finance and Marketing Departments.
Provide high quality customer service to members through phone, email and in-person interactions. Monitor and field the inquiries submitted to the membership email inbox.
Implement the membership recruitment and retention plan tactics as directed by the Senior Manager of Marketing while monitoring success and providing insight.
Input member information in the organization’s database accurately. Become a power user of the database with reporting skills.
Provide weekly membership reports to the CEO and senior management team with insights and past years’ information for comparison.
Prepare reports, compile and process applications for board meetings, special programs, etc.
Maintain special programs, databases and relationships through email outreach, obtaining contact lists and maintaining spreadsheets.
Working with a third-party vendor, manage and grow the DocMatter community platform.
Coordinate and maintain the mentorship program and ambassador program.
Assist with international exhibit needs which includes coordinating with the site, identifying needs, order items for the booth and ship.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, 365 and Zoom
Familiarity with iMIS or similar databases a plus, but not required.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently and accurately.
Ability to interact effectively and to work congenially in a small office environment and work well with a team to promote company initiatives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile, and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.
WORKNG CONDITIONS
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment. Position requires availability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours to perform job duties, with is infrequent and rare. Occasional travel may be required.
