The Mannes School of Music, a part of The College of Performing Arts at The New School, is seeking a highly qualified Program & Administration Manager to manage strategic and administrative initiatives at Mannes. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Mannes and working with academic leadership, faculty, and staff, The Program & Administration Manager manages a number of BM, MM, and PDPL program initiatives, oversees office administration, and leads special projects initiated by the Associate Dean. The Program & Administration Manager also works across the entire College of Performing Arts, serving as a key liaison between CoPA and the universityâ™s office of Strategic Enrollment Management.Â
The Program & Administration Manager is a compassionate and motivated administrator who prioritizes students and their experience at the College of Performing Arts. The Program & Administration Manager is an excellent collaborator and communicator with an ability to contribute to complex processes and operations related to curriculum development and implementation, performance and production, and special projects. Â

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
With the Associate Dean, manage and oversee studio assignment and teacher match process for Mannes students at all degree levels.
Lead Mannesâ™s ESL+M (English as a Second Language Plus Music) program in collaboration with the offices of Advising and English Language Support.Â
With the Associate Dean, manage and oversee part-time faculty coordinators across Mannes
Assist in the planning and execution of Mannes special events, public events, donor events, and community gatherings (town halls, faculty meetings, etc.)Â
Plan and execute a calendar of internal communications for Mannes students and faculty
Hire and oversee students workers to provide general administrative and clerical support at Mannes.
Manage Mannes Accompanist Policy including hiring and payroll procedures.
Monitor and develop reports on enrollment, faculty teaching history, and other business areas that support strategic decision-making
Provide counsel, advice, and guidance to the Dean and Associate Dean of the School of Mannes on a range of strategic and operational issues
Collaborate with the Associate Dean and Strategic Enrollment Management to plan auditions, admissions and recruitment events, interviews, new student orientation activities, campus tours, class visits, scholarship and admission committees, and other admission and recruitment activities and events
Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed by the supervisor.
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelorâ™s degree in arts administration, business administration, the performing arts, or a related field
One year of experience in arts, nonprofit, and/or higher education administration
Excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to present complex information to various audiences
Experience working with large amounts of data and/or information
Experienced or able to learn and develop fluency in The New Schoolâ™s suite of data systems including WorkDay, Tableau, Banner, and 25Live.Â

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelorâ™s degree in areas of study offered at Mannes School of Music or equivalent professional experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other database tools
WORK MODE
Hybrid/Split - Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus.Â
Some nights and weekends are required.Â
SALARY
$58,500 - $60,000
