Responsibilities:
Northeastern University's College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) seeks an energetic Associate Director of Student Services and Recruitment to join our team in the National Capital Region/Metro DC. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of growing CSSH programs on a new campus and helping forge a service-oriented program for the College in Arlington, Virginia.
Under the supervision of the Director of CSSH Programs in Arlington, you will collaborate with the leadership in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, especially the Dean's Office and the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs. The College has team members and students on multiple campuses in Northeastern University's Global Campus Network, and you will deliver direct support and resources for Arlington-based students in course registration, degree audits, co-op administration, and financial services. Your daily activities will include coordinating and supporting events for prospective, current, and former students, including orientation, recruitment, and other engagement events. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners for the effective and timely implementation of marketing, recruitment, and yield strategies and programs. As an Arlington-based team member you will take responsibility for coordinating communications and engagements with CSSH staff, faculty, and students to secure their participation in in events and activities that yield new students and build relationships with yield partners within and outside the University.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree or equivalent experience is required, with 3-5 years of experience in higher education, preferably in coordinating admissions communications and events in an academic institution.
An asset-based, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to see complex projects through from start to finish in partnership with others is essential to be successful in this role.
Excellent project management and organizational skills to create innovative solutions for emerging educational experiences.
Intermediate proficiency using cloud-based apps and productivity tools to share and manage sensitive information.
Ability to coordinate and implement multiple concurrent projects and deadlines in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent writing and communication skills for connecting with diverse audiences.
Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making and planning.
Must be located in or willing to relocate to the National Capital/Metro DC area. Familiarity with the region is preferred.
Frequent regional travel and occasional national travel is required with opportunity for International travel.
Experience conducting secondary research to build channel partner pipelines is preferred.
