The Sol Price School of Public Policy has an immediate opening for a Project SpecialistÂ in the International Public Policy and Management Program (IPPAM). This position reports to the IPPAM Director and is a full-time, one-year fixed term position. Fully on-site work arrangement.
Job responsibilities include:
Conduct research to support the IPPAM global executive continuing educationÂ (GECE)Â andÂ visiting research scholarsÂ project design and development in alignment with the IPPAM program strategic mission and goals and in consultation with IPPAM/Price/USC involved entities.
Manage the implementation of the IPPAM GECE including the visiting researcher scholars' program fromÂ inception to completion.
Maintain professional and responsive communication with global education partners about the currently active projects.
Work with IPPAM past and existing partners, clients, and funders on identifying opportunities to secure international training, executive education, and policy-related research projects.
Develop new global outreach and recruitment strategies using digital and/or in person marketing and communication platforms and channels to attract executive professionals to the GECE program.
Maintain an updated alumni data base and develop strategies to engage IPPAM alumni through annual and targeted alumni events.
Provide support to the program director to identify and cultivate new partners, sponsors, and donors.
Support to the program website development and digital communication strategy including monitoring social media.
Ability to balance multipleÂ projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines.
The project specialist will be an integral member of the IPPAM program administrative team and show flexibility and willingness to aid in new projects and tasks when necessary.
The candidate must possess critical problem solving, strong verbal and written communication skills ability to respond professionally and promptly.
Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to meet the needs of a high diversity learning environment.
Mandarin and/or Korean language ability is preferred.
WordPress, web development and graphic design skills are welcome.
Preferably degree in the public policy, management, and leadership field, with an international focus.
Prior work experience in the field of international education, including familiarity with U.S. immigration regulations and USC policy, preferred.

IPPAM offers a Master of International Public Policy and Management (MIPM) degree for international students and U.S. students working in international settings. It also offers short term global executive continuing education (GECE) training programs for mid-career professionals including longer term executive programs for visiting research scholars with experience in government, nonprofit organizations, or business firms.
The hourly rate range for this position is $28.31 - $33.72.
