International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) is hiring for a Membership Director. Position reports to the President & CEO. The Membership Director oversees the development, planning, and management of membership initiatives including membership applications process, member retention, recruitment efforts, and show registration process. Position directs the Membership and Registration Team.
IDDBA is a nonprofit trade association serving food retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, brokers, distributors, and other industry professionals. In addition to its internationally recognized annual tradeshow event, the association provides 365 day-a-year education and business solutions to its robust member base.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategic
Develop regular reports on membership metrics and recommend/develop new member programs and services
Identify opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance member benefits and services offered by the association
Develop strategies to measure and strengthen member engagement
Owns: Membership, Registration, Tradeshows, Member Engagement
Collaboration with other members of Executive Leadership in carrying out the IDDBA vision & member benefits
Develop and engage in alternative membership classifications and banners to include relating to dairy, deli, bakery, and foodservice industry
Management/Leadership
Oversite of all membership data, tracking, and reporting, including but not limited to:
Accurate membership records
Membership trend analysis
Recruitment and retention reports
Current, new, and prospective member information
Oversite of the registration process for annual convention, including qualification, substitution, cancellation, and complimentary badge processing
Supportive of staff and their goals
Strong working relationship with board and committee members, visitors, customers, members, and third-party partners
Conduct prompt and timely responses and processes to membership, board of directors, and staff members alike
Quantitative
Leads the association’s overall efforts to recruit, retain, and engage membership with the goal of continuous growth in total members
Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of five years’ experience managing membership processes, and leading member engagement efforts, processes, and quotas
Demonstrated experience in growing membership and strengthening membership retention
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
Experience with AMS database (preferably Microsoft CRM)
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative leadership style creating culture of open communications & member community mentality.
Integrity self-fulfillment. As an executive leader of the association, confidentiality, professionalism, communication, and leading people & processes is required. It is expected that you will conduct yourself in keeping with job guidelines and expectations.
Ability to travel and participate in various tradeshows, conventions, and meetings in support of membership goals of the organization
Must have flexibility of schedule for occasional travel with little notice
Progressive and initiative driven leadership, and exemplifies ownership of membership and organization initiatives
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Madison, WI Office; Hybrid-Onsite
Workdays/Hours: Monday-Friday with Occasional Weekends
Travel: 30+ Days of Travel Per Year
