The Golub Capital Social Impact Lab (GC Lab) is an initiative within the GSB. The GC
Lab uses digital technology and social science research to improve the effectiveness of social sector organizations. The lab is a research initiative of affiliated academics, staff, researchers, and students passionate about conducting research that guides and improves the process of innovation in the social sector. We collaborate with a wide range of organizations, from large firms to smaller startups, for-profits to nonprofits, and NGOs to governments, to conduct research. Then, we apply and disseminate our insights to achieve social impact on a large scale.
We are seeking a highly organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented Lab Operations
Coordinator to support the lab directors in managing administrative responsibilities. The Lab Operations Coordinator will be responsible for executing administrative processes with minimal supervision, maintaining dashboards and reports, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the overall productivity of the lab.
Note: This is a two-year Fixed-Term position. This position will work a hybrid schedule. Applicants must be available two days per week or an equivalent time monthly on-site (as determined by the GC Lab).
Your primary responsibilities include:
Act on behalf of the lab directors to establish priorities, identify and resolve administrative problems and ensure smooth operations.
Oversee and process a variety of complex financial transactions; produce, monitor, and reconcile budget statements; research, identify, and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with lab directors to assist in preparing sponsored project research proposals and managing post-award administration.
Create and maintain complex reports and spreadsheets using Google Sheets/Excel. Make recommendations based on the reports.
Conduct research and draft background materials for meetings, represent the lab directors in meetings as needed and provide meeting summaries.
Schedule and organize lab meetings, seminars, and events, including liaising with vendors, handling logistics, guaranteeing policy compliance, and staying within budget constraints.
Compose and draft documents for correspondence, presentations, course handouts, grants, conferences, seminars, and reports. Provide copyediting and fact-checking. Create, maintain, modify, and ensure the accuracy of content for
various unit documents, reports, social media, and websites.
Manage the lab calendar, schedule meetings, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Analyze and synthesize complex material to extract pertinent information for briefing purposes.
Provide support for human resources transactions and coordinate/manage the visa process when needed.
Oversee day-to-day work of lab members, using checklists to ensure work complies with lab processes.
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
High school diploma and 6 years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
Proven success in following through and completing projects.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
Ability to exercise sound judgment routinely and independently in making decisions.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
Undergraduate degree.
Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence systems.
The expected pay range for this position is $76,000 - $101,000 per annum.
