Job Description:

Fundraising and Leadership Engagement:

• Actively manage a portfolio of 100+ gift prospects.
• Engage and solicit donors for support at all giving levels.
• Individually, and in-collaboration with Senior leadership, solicit ten $100,000+ gifts each fiscal year.
• Utilize University resources effectively to creatively partner with other units on campus.
• Create a strategy and vision to engage and solicit our international alumni community.
• Establishes fundraising goals and priorities based on department objectives, designs strategies to meet those goals, and monitors progress against goals. Manages a portfolio of current and potential donors.
• Works closely with Senior Leadership, Officers and Deans to design strategic objectives and action steps that will lead to the successful realization of these projects.

Manage and Oversee Annual Giving and Reunion Volunteer Management:

• Manage and provide a vision for the giving society at the Harris School â“ the Harris Society â“ developing a multi-faceted marketing strategy focused both on donor stewardship and new donor acquisition.
• Help direct strategy and oversee the recruitment and management of alumni reunion committees.
• Oversee the management and vision of all Giving Day, Giving Tuesday, and direct mail calendar and communications.

Manage and Oversee All Stewardship and Donor Relations Activities:

• Oversee all the coordination of the Deanâ™s interaction with current and prospective donors for engagement, solicitation, and stewardship purposes.
• Manage the print and digital communication materials for current and prospective donors.
• Direct gift and acknowledgement processing, reporting, and data analysis of donor and dollar annual performance.
• Manages a portfolio of current and potential donors. Identifies and cultivates gift prospects and potential donors through events, visits, personalized correspondences, and phone calls.
• Recommends and implements fundraising programs and activities.
• Manages department strategies and plans to achieve University fundraising goals.
• Performs other related work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications â‹â‹

Education:

• Bachelor's degree.

Experience:

• A minimum of seven years of experience in nonprofit management, development, alumni relations, marketing, public relations, sales, or similar professional work experience.
• Experience working with database management.
• Proven experience in leading a project.
• Experience leading a team or developing and coaching staff.
• Familiarity with fundraising strategies within higher education.

• Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse individuals in a team setting.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority requests simultaneously.

• Willingness and ability to travel once a month and work some evenings and weekends.
• Exceptional work ethic and can-do attitude.
