We are actively expanding our central teams to support our Principal Investigators (PIs) and research study teams who are focused on our mission-critical trials programs.
The Lead Clinical Research Coordinator leads all aspects of clinical research trials except those that require medical expertise or license. The role also leads team development activities such as training, quality assurance, and procedures and tools creation.
This position is eligible for hyrbid work.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical direction to others in the department. Oversees the quality control aspects of the work performed by those within the CRC team
- Provides input for performance reviews
- Collaborates with the Clinical Trials Manager on operational and regulatory work
- Provides day-to-day coordination of clinical research studies including screening patients for protocol eligibility, ensuring informed consent has been properly obtained, enrolling subjects, collecting data and communicating with clinic staff
- Lead training, mentoring, workload planning, and assigning workflow to ensure requirements are met
- Collaborates with clinic providers and staff, ancillary services, and research staff regarding protocol implementation and operations
- Collects and enters data in a timely manner in accordance with the protocol
- Collects and maintains regulatory documents
- Develops or creates reports and documents as required
- Coordinates the study drug management process
- Coordinates research protocol monitoring and auditing visits and takes action to correct problems such as deviation from protocol requirements to ensure research quality
- Develops department and/or protocol standard operating procedures and tools
- Leads and/or participates in the start-up of a study including things such as budget development, contracting, and protocol implementation
- Serves as an education and training resource to others in the ongoing development of clinical research knowledge and experience
- Supports overall quality assurance of clinical research for the department
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 2 years of clinical research experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical research setting
- Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, word processing, and databases
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
- Ability to understand and follow multiple complex protocols at multiple sites
- Ability to organize and manage time and tasks independently
- Ability to develop and/or present content to senior leaders and other groups
- Problem solving skills- education and training resource to others in the ongoing development of clinical
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oncology research experience
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years of clinical research experience
This position is patient facing and/or requires access to Fred Hutch clinical facilities. As such, full COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment, without exception. Booster doses are strongly recommended but not required. If declining a booster, completion of the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Form Questionnaire and COVID-19 Booster Declination Training is required. The annual base salary range for this position is from $74,358 to $111,536 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
