Designs and implements novel fundraising strategies to grow financial resources for DS4E, partner organizations, and the field at-large.
Drafts project proposals, grant applications, and implements edits on proposal narratives. Translates between the teamâ™s strategy and strategic funding priorities, giving input on both.Â
Regularly identifies and researches potential funders for K-12 data science education, including high-wealth principals, industry partners, and philanthropic foundations.Â
Creates opportunities for DS4Eâ™s Director and staff to meet with potential funders and other high-value collaborators.
Designs, implements, and tracks funder engagement strategies to closely engage key supporters. Manages a tracking system to ensure regular touchpoints with funders and that all deadlines are met.Â
Manages grant lifecycle in collaboration with other University staff, including review, financial management, and team budgeting.Â
Develops novel impact tracking methods and metrics for Data Science 4 Everyone in collaboration with DS4Eâ™s Director and staff. Tracks and evaluates team progress over time.
Communicates organizational impact for funders, the field, and media through reports, newsletter, and other vehicles, in collaboration with Communications and PR team members.Â
In collaboration with DS4Eâ™s Director and other team members, regularly spots new projects and public engagement opportunities (e.g. conference engagements).
Has a moderate/high level of authority in drafting informational and marketing materials for review for assigned programs. Assists in developing support materials for specific fundraising activities.
Cultivates and maintains relationships with donors and volunteers. Establishes and maintains donor records and accounts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
College or university degree in a related field.Â
Experience:
At least two years work experience working in partnerships, development, or nonprofit operations.Â
Familiarity with a nonprofit environment.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to guide the strategic implementation of new projects or ideas in complex environments. Â
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset.
Manage basic spreadsheets / contact databases and/or CRM tools. Â
