The Department of Writing Arts seeks qualified adjuncts to teach courses in technical and professional writing, which may include Introduction to Technical Writing, Writing for the Workplace, Writing as Managers, Writing for Nonprofits, or Editing for Publication.

A master’s degree is required in an appropriate field, such as Composition/Rhetoric, Communication Studies, Business Administration, Strategic Communication, or Human Factors. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience teaching technical writing or professional writing, favorable recommendations from references, and favorable previous student evaluations. Experience or expertise in usability, user experience, and/or accessible design is particularly desired.
