Serve as relationship manager for assigned data work: Develop, manage and monitor projects with State of Ohio clients Provide technical, research, financial and legal management for assigned projects;

Manages technical aspects of data science projects: Oversees access to the IOP for Ohio clients Works with data governance leads at OSU and in state agencies, leads identification of software or tools required to conduct projects, and ensures proper data and access is maintained to conduct work inside the IOP;

Relationship manager for research services with State clients: Manages data access request for assigned projects, provides lists of variables, data tables, or methods required for documentation, reviews output of data projects to ensure compliance with access forms and contracts, presents project reports, memos, and develops proposals for projects;

Maintains relationships with legal and financial contacts to ensure projects are carried out in scope, submits and monitors legal agreements on behalf of the team to OSU for signature. Serves as point of contact to support State of Ohio and Ohio State for project specific questions on legal and financial matters, works with CHRR finance and Glenn finance managers to ensure projects are completed in budget, provides budgets, regular reports in Tableau and Workday, and works on project closeout financial documents with relevant staff.

Required Experience

Bachelors degree in a field that provides foundation for complex data knowledge (e.g. Data Science, Mathematics, Public Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) is required; plus a 4-8 years of relevant experience in large data analytics projects using government records data in a public policy context.

Desired Experience

Advanced degree in a relevant field; project management certification, Tableau certification, or training is preferred. The position requires some experience communicating complex data analyses visually and/or in written text to a general audience, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to data security and analytic accuracy is essential. Must have excellent time management skills as well as the ability to multi-task.
