Job Responsibilities:
The Director, Dental Insurance & Payer Programs provides strategic thought leadership and support to accomplish the activities and achieve results for the Practice Institute and the Council on Dental Benefit Programs. This position is responsible for leading ADA inter-agency efforts and multi-stakeholder efforts relating to Medicare and Medicaid as well as commercial dental benefit programs. The position assists in developing data driven policies through the ADAs Council on Dental Benefit Programs (CDBP) and implementing policies approved by the ADAs House of Delegates.
Must Have:
Bachelors degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in public health/public policy or associated fields, with specific knowledge of public programs such as Medicaid or Medicare. Or equivalent education may be substituted for experience
Excellent analytical, planning, management, and oral/written communications and people management skills
Ability to think strategically and work with diverse groups to gain consensus
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Evening and weekend work/meetings; some travel
Nice to Have:
Association experience
Masters Degree, DDS/DMD or equivalent
