The Director of Oregon Solutions oversees this community-based program, which uses collaboration to help communities implement public projects. As Director of Oregon Solutions, this person is responsible for the overall supervision of staff and contractors who serve as project managers working with communities across Oregon. The Oregon Solutions director is responsible for doing the following:
Providing project assessment and management services.
Crafting program strategic directions.
Managing the program budget.
Overseeing, developing, and supporting the Oregon Solutions team.
Building and maintaining networks critical to the Oregon Solutions mission.
Oregon Solutions is a flagship program of the National Policy Consensus Center (NPCC). The Oregon Solutions director works under the direct supervision of the NPCC director and serves as part of the NPCC leadership team.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Ten years of relevant experience, including 2 years of managerial responsibility involving program and budget oversight, project development and implementation, and supervision of staff.
Knowledge and skills of collaborative approaches, including experience developing, designing and implementing successful collaborative processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both orally and in writing), with ability to connect with people at all levels, and of different backgrounds/identities/lived experience, in public, private and non-profit sectors and communities.
Ability to function effectively in highly political and contentious situations.
Skill in supervising, developing, and supporting a diverse team.
Skill, and proven track record in promoting diversity and advancing equity.
Demonstrated commitment to supporting communities and community-based work.
Possession of a valid State-issued driver's license.
Successful completion of a background check.

5 years in consensus building or dispute resolution.
Experience with, or keen understanding of all levels of government; federal, tribal, state, county & municipal.
Knowledge and experience with public policy issues and an understanding of administrative processes, regulations, bureaucracies and tribal governments.
Grasp of public policy dispute resolution concepts.
Understanding of public decision-making processes.
