Summary: The Web specialist is responsible for managing, fulfilling, and responding to web ticket requests; updating content within ASTHO???s content management system; and ensuring that all documents, content, graphics, etc. posted to the web are consistent with established standards.
Location: Remote
Anticipated salary: $63,000 Extended experience: up to $70,500 if experience exceeds expectations
Principal Functions:
Manage, fulfill, and respond to web ticket requests in timely manner
Review, edit, revise, and post web content for astho.org in content management system (Optimizely)
Resize web graphics for posting to website using Adobe Photoshop
Work with graphic designer(s) to maintain web image library
Audit and review astho.org website for outdated content; share reports with teams on a regular basis
Make recommendations and work with supervisor to enhance and optimize website, content, and management system
Work with supervisor on policy, governance, and process improvements
Provide back up support and front-end development for other ASTHO properties not managed by web team, such as Higher Logic
Review competitor and other association websites for industry trends, technologies, and standards
Ensure accuracy of content and timeliness of all information posted to the association???s websites
For all areas of responsibility, follow established department and association policies and procedures and report any problems/issues to supervisor
Qualifications:
Bachelor???s degree in a related field
2 years of related web experience
Knowledge of web-based development and production tools, including HTML and CSS (development or UI/UX experience is a plus)
Experience in manipulating and resizing web graphics using Adobe products (web graphic design experience a plus)
General understanding of web communication methodologies and concepts
Excellent communication skills including strong writing and copy editing
Excellent interpersonal skills
