What we're looking for: We are seeking a motivated professional responsible for producing timely, high-quality editorial content (text and images) and ancillary content for Radiology and other journals produced by RSNA.

What you'll do:
Copyedit manuscripts accepted for publication in RSNA journals to be produced online, under direct supervision; ensure clarity, consistency, readability, and precision while maintaining conformity to RSNA journal style and AMA style.
During the required training period, meet regularly with supervisor or trainer to receive and incorporate feedback on all assigned manuscripts
Use resources to research and resolve copyediting questions.
Participate in team meetings and other departmental meetings as required.
Maintains production schedule.
Proofread text and tabular material and perform quality control on images as necessary.
Work with authors, supervisor, Assistant Managing Editor, Managing Editor, production staff, and occasionally vendors on alterations
Communicate regularly with manuscript editors and work with online journal and production personnel to ensure timely processing of journal materials; work with other RSNA staff on publishing projects as assigned
What you'll need:
Minimum of 2 years prior experience copyediting required, preferably for a medical publication Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
Ability to master editing and proofreading software and online tools (eg, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InCopy)
Familiarity with biomedical terminology and concepts
Strong decision-making skills and problem-solving skills
Track record of meeting deadlines
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Experience working with distributed or hybrid teams
