Full-time Associate Director, Lawrence Campus & Community Relations: Associate Director; Lawrence Campus and Community Relations; 37.5 hours per week; Non-Unit Professional Position
The Associate Director of the Lawrence Campus & Community Relations will report directly to the Vice President of the Lawrence Campus & Community Relations. This individual is primarily responsible for facilitating and implementing daily office operations pertaining to Lawrence Campus, with the core objective of supporting educational, cultural and social programs.
The Associate Director must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to provide support and oversight for projects and initiatives. This person will be expected to attend meetings on behalf of the Vice President and take notes and provide follow up communication, as well as direct and implement different strategic planning procedures across the institution. This individual will participate in implementing data collection needs and analysis
While an integral part of the Lawrence Campus & Community Relations team, this individual serves as a liaison to interface and facilitate programs and events with other areas of the College and administration, and must be self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work with a high degree of independence.
REPORTS TO: VP Lawrence Campus and Community Relations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the office of the VP providing administrative support including confidential personnel matters
Collaborate with the VP to develop and implement department goals for the Lawrence Campus & Community Relations
Maintain contracts for personnel or companies providing services on the Lawrence Campus
Respond to inquiries from agencies, staff and others to provide information regarding Lawrence Campus & Community Relations
Act as a liaison with students and administrators in matters related to the department
Schedule and facilitate in order for campus activities to occur that promote educational, cultural and social programs
Facilitate with areas outside of the department, such as the Center for Accessibility Resources and Services to identify students on the Lawrence Campus in need of support
Maintain calendar of meetings and events for the department, including communication and logistical plans
Submit and track purchase order requests, process invoices, and monitor departmental budgets within the Office of the VP
Assist in the execution and documentation of hiring paperwork for staff
Process and maintain confidential data, reports and personnel records, and assist with evaluative and labor records in the department
Plan site visits to the Lawrence Campus and community partners
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relatable experience with proven success and similar responsibilities in an educational or nonprofit setting
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements
Experience working with and sensitivity to diverse constituencies of various social identities (ethnic, racial, religious, economic, educational backgrounds and abilities, sexual orientation, and gender expression)
Excellent writing, communication, organization, and presentation skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship/environment
Experience in compiling data and development of reports in an educational institution or grant funded program
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software. Confidence in the ability to learn new and institutional software (e.g., Banner)
Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in carrying out assigned tasks reliably and accurately with minimal direction
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of personnel and payroll information
Ability to work in a dynamic environment of rapidly changing priorities, handle multiple tasks, detail oriented, and consistently meet deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree preferred
Bilingual or Bicultural (Spanish and English)
Experience in budgeting, reporting, data collection and analysis
Experience and familiarity with educational institutions, community-based organizations, nonprofit organizations and/or grant funded institutions.
BACKGROUND CHECK: Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment.
Additional Information:
SALARY: Anticipated salary range is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 annually. Includes a complete fringe benefit package such as competitive health insurance, free dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits.
