About the Role:

TERC’s IT department is offering a summer internship to a current high school or college student for the purpose of gaining practical technology-related and general office support experience in a professional setting. This is a full-time, non-exempt, temporary position funded for 12 weeks with the possibility of additional part-time work. 

TERC is an all Mac environment; some familiarity with Apple hardware and software is important to the role. TERC has a hybrid work environment; the successful candidate will primarily work onsite at our offices in Cambridge, MA. They will interact with staff via a variety of remote methods as well as some in-person interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with hardware and digital asset audits in accordance with department policy
• Perform data migrations on hardware that is being disposed
• Perform basic troubleshooting
• Assist with general office support tasks such as mail processing and supplies
• Handling small projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Some experience with macOS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Organized with high attention to detail 
• Interest and willingness to learn new tools and technology
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and oral English communication skills
