About the candidate:
Looking for an individual with experience in records management in the nonprofit sector or similarly related corporate experience. Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar relational database system, high degree of experience using Google Suite or MS Office applications, specifically Excel. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented with the ability to identify and implement efficiencies. Ability to work under moderate supervision and collaboratively within an office setting.

Job Summary:
Maintain the integrity and quality of the University Advancement’s CRM (Blackbaud’s Raiser's Edge), processing biographic and demographic information, and assisting with business process maintenance including aligning data across various systems. Work with internal and external parties to capture and import new data. Apply best practices and assist in the creation/execution of queries and reports. Complete proactive demographic research.
Responsibilities and duties:
Maintain the overall integrity and quality of the Raiser’s Edge database, including routine data improvement, data auditing, and system checks
Create and maintain biographic and demographic information including, but not limited to contact info, relationships, affiliations, and university engagement
Import and export data from various sources including manual entry and utilization of integration software to acquire data additions and updates
Maintain and enhance procedures for the processing and maintenance of records management
Assist with University Advancement reporting needs
Understanding and potential entry of gift processing
Hire, train, and supervise student interns
Stay abreast and track Ohio Wesleyan University presence in the media
Troubleshoot and communicate with Information Services and University Advancement colleagues on data related issues and changes
Factors contributing success:
Strong experience in data entry and records management in the higher education / nonprofit sector or related corporate experience
Experience with Raiser’s Edge or the strong ability to learn the Raiser’s Edge and related online platforms
High attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Interest in technology with the capacity to identify and implement opportunities for improved data quality, reduced data entry, and increased cross-departmental collaboration
Demonstrated communication/interpersonal skills, including customer service and team work
Ability to handle confidential material
Serve as a positive member of the University Advancement staff contributing toward achievement of goals related to the University Advancement division and the university community
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (3 – 5 years) working in a similar role in a non-profit or Higher Education environment.
High degree of proficiency using MS Office applications specifically Excel, Google Docs and direct experience working with databases and entering data.
