Job Description The Questrom School of Business at Boston University invites applications for a Lecturer in Marketing. The candidate will join a vibrant community of scholars and practitioners dedicated to providing exceptional teaching and learning through a variety of modalities to its undergraduate, graduate and executive students. The department is seeking an individual deeply experienced in customer analytics, pricing strategy, marketing analytics, and visualization of quantitative data and insights. A candidate with public, private and/or nonprofit professional experience is preferred because this role requires teaching students applied customer analytics, pricing and data visualization techniques in project work with student project client partners.
The anticipated start date for this faculty position is July 1, 2023.
Required Skills Prospective candidates should possess the following:
A terminal degree (MBA or PhD) in marketing or a related field is strongly preferred.
Strong evidence of teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in a variety of modalities including classroom, online, experiential and hybrid, with an emphasis on the analytics courses.
Experience developing curricula at the undergraduate, graduate or professional levels.
Professional management experience in the public, nonprofit or private sector preferably in positions related to marketing analytics, consulting, and/or pricing.
A track record of contributing to a vibrant student community as evidenced by experience with academic programs in building connecting with practice to help students with their careers and internships.
