SENIOR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to anchor J-PAL's overall philanthropic fundraising and stewardship strategy, including prospect identification, solicitation, stewardship, and building capabilities. Will develop J-PAL's philanthropic engagement strategy based on a review of current portfolio, successes, and challenges and with input from the senior management team and MIT's central Resource Development; evaluate, implement, and oversee process for tailored, innovative stewardship of philanthropic partners to increase engagement and giving over time; and prepare internal fundraising materials (including briefs, presentations, and agendas) and external communications for a donor audience (including one-pagers, blog posts, social media posts, and webpages). A key goal will be to develop, build buy-in for, and execute a strategy to significantly increase annual unrestricted funding at J-PAL.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree; at least five years of experience in a development role in a nonprofit or academic setting; donor stewardship and database management experience; practiced understanding of the donor lifecycle; strong writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively--in person and virtually--with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership.
