Job Description:
The Auburn University Department of Political Science is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor in Public Administration for a one-year appointment beginning in fall 2023. This is a full-time, one-year appointment. Position Responsibilities: Candidates must be able to offer courses online and in-person at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in public administration and nonprofit management. Candidates should be broadly trained in public administration and/or nonprofit management and have a passion for teaching. A professional history that informs classroom pedagogy and practice is desired. We are seeking individuals who can contribute extensively to the MPA Program's Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Organizations and Community Governance, to the Graduate Certificate in Global Public Service, and to undergraduate public administration courses. In addition, the individual should be able to teach courses in the core curriculum in our Master of Public Administration Program (NASPAA accredited). The teaching load is 4-4, with opportunities to count remote class sections and service in the form of online course preparation and ePortfolio supervision as part of the teaching load.
