Job Description:
The Associate Director for Advancement Reporting Services is responsible for providing leadership for the Advancement Division's reporting group and determining how to visualize data into usable information for the formation and execution of fundraising and engagement strategies and monitoring measures of success. They will be responsible to ensure a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment and work with each team member on their professional development.Â
This role works with all departments in Advancement to provide data visualization, dashboards, reports and support data analytic needs in an efficient and structured manner through optimized delivery to facilitate actionable next steps for the recipients. This will include determining that best practices are followed in the creation, testing and delivery of this information so that the division can ensure they are always looking at the best quality data for making their decisions. They will also have project management responsibilities within Advancement Information Services and will need to work with colleagues to sustain a culture of continuous improvement in our processes, technologies and toolsets. This will be a hands-on management role, so a percentage of time will be spent developing the deployable artifacts.

RequiredQualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. Â
5 years of experience in report development or experience in a related field such as information delivery services, project management, programming/report writing, computing/software analysis, database structure, query and design, programming/report writing, database implementation and enhancements.
Experience working in the nonprofit sector, and/or an academic or research institution, and involvement in fundraising, development and/or institutional research preferred.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Education and Experience

Job Competencies
Proficiency with SQL, T-SQL, ETL, Visual Studio, or similar applications demonstrated ability to perform complex data extracts, queries, custom reports and KPI dashboards required.
Foundational data modeling skills and experience constructing data calculations and formulas strongly preferred.
Knowledge of proper methodologies and principles related to technical business applications, systems design, user support, and programming.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in order to solve problems and to meet challenging and changing deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to participate in system architecture planning and implementation. Â Â
Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to successfully interact and collaborate with varied constituencies in a professional manner, exhibiting excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrating tact and diplomacy working with a wide variety of personalities. Â
High degree of professionalism, ethical sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion; proven ability to apply good judgment and responsible decision-making.
