Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

Responsibilities

* Collaborates and consults with multiple surgery attending physicians in Endocrine and Colorectal Surgery & other disciplines/services to ensure safe, effective, and timely treatment as well as continuity of patient care. * Performs complex and problem-focused H & P's * Evaluates and manages patient in their pre and post operative stages as well as long-term surveillance* Performs procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice* Participates in the conduct of cancer clinical research* Provides patient, caregiver, and peer education* Communicates effectively with inpatient and outpatient teams * Participates in patient rounds, conferences and committees* Active member of the FHCC Rapid Response/Code Team

Qualifications

• Strong flexible team player with a can-do attitude is a must! Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Washington state PA or ARNP licensure required
• DEA licensure required upon credentialing
• ACLS required within 3 months of start
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• One year of ARNP or PA-C experience in Surgery/Surgical Oncology strongly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

This position is patient facing and/or requires access to Fred Hutch clinical facilities. As such, full COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment, without exception. Booster doses are strongly recommended but not required. If declining a booster, completion of the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Form Questionnaire and COVID-19 Booster Declination Training is required. Because of our immunocompromised patient population, there are no medical or religious accommodations available for any employee who is patient facing and/or requires access to Fred Hutch clinical facilities. The annual base salary range for this position is from $111,748 to $176,634 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
