ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH, Alumni Association (MITAA), to implement strategy for increasing engagement within international clubs and regions. Will act as an advocate for international alumni by connecting their efforts to the work of the MITAA and promoting events and programs to colleagues/alumni/students; collaborate with volunteer managers in delivering in-person or virtual programming; collaborate with non-MITAA departments/labs/centers in furthering the work of international clubs; be involved in all aspects of alumni engagement and collect associated metrics in international markets; manage a portfolio of alumni clubs and high-level volunteers; and serve as a representative for the MITAA internationally.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; three years' alumni relations, annual giving, marketing, public relations, or volunteer leadership development experience in a university or nonprofit setting; success developing programs strategically across multiple constituencies to maximize results; excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, and written and oral communication skills; success determining goals and setting priorities under tight deadlines; ability to develop and deliver training sessions; initiative; a proactive approach to workload and problem-solving; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Word, Excel, FileMaker, and PowerPoint; and expertise with/willingness to learn Encompass and social media platforms, e.g., LinkedIn, Slack, and Facebook. Must be able to recruit, motivate, train, and manage volunteers; establish effective working relationships with colleagues, volunteers, alumni, and other constituents; collaborate as part of a team; manage several projects simultaneously, with attention to time sensitivity; and adapt to change in a complex, service-oriented, and rapidly changing environment.
