Manages the day-to-day moderation and content curation of all UChicago Alumni-branded social channels, including creation and maintenance of a social media editorial calendar that advances the goals of alumni programs and initiatives, along with university news and events for relevant audiences.
Maintains relationships with cross-campus social media partners to coordinate social communications efforts.Â Participates in campus communicators and UChicago Social campus groups.
Be a social media resource on ARD Communications marketing projects, which will include collaborating with design and editorial teams on the planning, creation, development, and reporting on social media campaigns.
Seeks opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance including attending webinars, seminars, building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions.
Accomplishes assigned duties through two or more of the following: written communications; visual/graphic media, which may include Web site development and maintenance; speeches and personal contact. The incumbent is still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.

Minimum two years of professional work experience in nonprofit management, development, alumni relations, marketing, public relations, sales or similar professional work experience.
Professional work experience in social media marketing.
Professional work experience in online engagement such as email marketing, online community development, web content management.
Customer service or vendor relationship experience.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the internal workings of the University as well as the technology tools available to the Office of Alumni Relations and Development, including the University's donor relationship management system and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Manage confidential information with discretion and tact.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Work collegially and collaboratively in a team setting.

This position has a hybrid work schedule which includes weekly in office presence.
