The Pegasus School is searching for a Director of Advancement to join our school’s leadership team. The Director of Advancement is responsible for all aspects of advancement including creation and implementation of short and long-term fundraising initiatives; public relations and communications; and community engagement of constituents. The Pegasus School’s philanthropic priority is its Annual Fund, followed by the Annual Gala, and periodically, a Capital Campaign will exist.
The Pegasus School serves 590 students from Pre-K through grade 8. The school is situated in a park-like 13.5 acre setting with facilities that include a theater, gymnasium, art studios, science and technology labs, library and vibrant classrooms. The Pegasus School is an environment that encourages creative and critical thinking, risk taking, and problem solving in all members of its community.
Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time, twelve-month exempt position. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. Required Qualifications: Employee should have a minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school with at least 5 years advancement experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience leading a capital campaign, preferably in an independent school setting.
Desired Qualifications: Eight or more years experience working in school advancement or a similar environment. A graduate degree in Nonprofit Management, Nonprofit Resource Development, Public Administration, or the like. Specific certificate programs or courses in the field of fundraising and development.
