The Stores Tech Supervisor will supervise and participate the successful delivery of supplies from the Materials Management Storeroom and the Shipping and Receiving department to all customers with the assistance of the Warehouse Manager. Responsible for supervising and participating in all Stores Tech functions including tasks related to warehousing, shipping, receiving and forms.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate the Stores Techs with the assistance of the Warehouse Manager. Actively explore new personnel techniques, processes and methods. Apply these principles to interactions with staff through effective communications and teaching methods
- Create and perform annual and quarterly (if necessary for new employees) performance reviews for all Receiving and Stores Clerk Staff with the assistance of the Warhouse Manager. Keep all records and documents associated with staff and take part in any disciplinary proceedings. Oversee and supply if necessary functional guidance and direction to subordinate personnel in the Receiving and Stores
- Manage the performance of Storeroom Inventory Control, Shipping / Receiving and Forms.
- Monitor Warehouse operations to ensure the most effective services are being provided.
- Oversee the policies and procedures concerning all functional areas of the Shipping & Receiving departments Storeroom and Forms. Ensure such policies and procedures are maintained in a department procedure manual and are familiar to appropriate staff with the assistance of the Warehouse Manager
Qualifications
Required:
- A High School Degree, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Supervisory practices and principles
- Knowledge of Inventory Control procedures and principles
- Knowledge of Purchasing Principles
- Knowledge of electronic technology and familiarity with hospital monitoring and diagnostic systems
Preferred:
- An Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary
- Knowledge of safety practices
- Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations
- Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
SCCA has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to SCCA facilities.
