Pediatric Psychiatry Assistant Professor - Computational Neuroscientist

The Division of Psychiatry (in partnership with Neurology Division) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a junior-level research faculty member as a computational neuroscientist to design experiments and program code for signal processing, application of statistics, and visualization to analyze EEG/fMRI/MRI data in partnership with clinical research. This position will involve working with clinical datasets which includes abnormal brain physiology. Candidates must be highly skilled in translating primary souce algorithms into computer code to address needs of psychiatry investigators including data from clinical interventions, diagnostic studies, and methods development.
About the Division:
The Division has 26 academic faculty, 38 advanced practice nurses and over 140 therapists. We provide mental health services across the greater Cincinnati region through our five Cincinnati Children's Hospital sites, partnership with multiple community mental health centers, school-based therapy sites, therapeutic interagency preschool, community psychiatric support treatment programs, and telehealth services. The Division also plays a large role in medical education and research offering both a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and Triple Board Residency training program. The Division conducts clinical, health services, education and implementation science research with particular focus in the areas of developmental disabilities and mood disorders.

Ph.D. in Neuroscience related field or Computer science
Expertise in biological signal processing, software implementations in MATLAB, Python, and R.
Expertise in EEG theory and application.
Publication record demonstrating expertise in EEG, signal processing, and methods development
Track record of collaborations with clinical researchers demonstrating ability to interpret and work with abnormal brain physiology including epilepsy, autism, and other neuropsychiatric conditions.
Expertise in technical aspects of EEG collection, physiology, and preprocessing
Demostrated ability to train post-docs and graduate students in methods and publications
