The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, is seeking a motivated Manager, Professional DevelopmentServices to work in our Commission on Dietetics Registration group. The Manager of Professional Development Services is responsible for the administration of re-certification requirements and continuing professional education (CPE) functions for the dietetics profession.
Manages all appeals requests and is responsible for communicating with appellants and functioning as a liaison to the Appeals Panel.
Manages the CPEU extension and remediation programs.
Evaluates CPE programs and communicates approval/denial decisions to providers. Responsible for updating the CPE database to reflect prior approved programs.
Communicates complex information regarding PDP processes and requirements by phone, email or written correspondence to candidate.
Leads efforts in the processing and review of prior approval application and online submissions.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Nutrition and Dietetics, Marketing/Communications, Education or Business
RD or DTR preferred but not required
1+ years of relevant work experience required
Excellent communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and demonstrated problem solving skills are prerequisites of this position
Must be located within the Chicagoland area
Some travel required
