The Strategic Analytics Consultant will focus on work and professional activities related to providing internal consulting services around data and analytics. This will include the core functions of: 1. Consulting and problem solving, 2. KPI and metric development, 3. Data visualization and report creation (providing a lens into UI/UX), 4. Analyses and learnings (including but not limited to statistical analyses).
Essential Functions / Activities:
Understand business asks, clarify core needs and support the development of business cases.
Clean, aggregate, and interpret data in preparation for analysis.
Run discovery and exploratory analytics to identify new and innovative opportunities.
Assist in developing key metrics and performance indicators to help stakeholders answer business questions.
Visualize and communicate the results of performed analyses (e.g., statistical, quantitative/qualitative)
Build reusable assets, solutions and develop best practices for current and future business problems.
Communicate and provide guidance to senior client leadership and teams.
Create reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights by preparing data, working with engineering counterparts, and customizing the user experience to appropriate audiences.
Conduct targeted analyses/learnings to develop and deliver recommendations that drive impact to the business (i.e. increase program completion rates, assess new markets, market intelligence activities, etc.).
Partner with developers and engineers to develop and deploy data products to deliver business value.
Help businesses evolve organizational processes to better leverage data and insights
Partner with Program Directors, faculty, and others to utilize data and insights for product strategy; develop product strategy and serve in a traditional product owner role as appropriate.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including special projects that may fall outside of the listed functions/activities.
Bachelors degree with a specialization in quantitative fields is required.
A Master's degree is strongly preferred but may be waived with appropriate experience and skills.
Minimum 7 years professional experience required
Proficiency in Tableau (certification or certificate preferred)
Working proficiency in SQL / data querying
Basic knowledge of mathematical and statistical analysis
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong relationship management skills including stakeholder management
Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
Working ability in one or more scripting languages (or the ability to quickly learn)
