Summary: Responsible for supporting ASTHO???s marketing and communications efforts. Helps manage promotion of all ASTHO events, products, campaigns, etc. while supporting ASTHO public health program educational offerings, learning opportunities, trainings, and content products.
Write/edit a variety of content to support communications and marketing efforts.
Work closely with the web, member engagement, and technology teams to ensure enhanced communications and strategy across divisions.
Support social media efforts including monitoring the activity of members, partners, and funders in the public health arena.
Support the Public Health Review podcast and Morning Edition Newscast promotion.
Compile KPI/ROI metrics for promotional campaigns.
Work with public relations teams to establish editorial calendar.
Supports campaigns from idea through implementation.
Manages ASTHO???s email promotional schedule; writes and disseminates email blasts.
Assist with ASTHO branding alignment for events and publications.
Assist team with SEO strategy.
Develop and maintain project management dashboard, managing deadlines.
Maintains and updates relevant website and intranet information.
Supports ASTHO???s crisis communications training and learning opportunities, and other COVID-19 communications-related projects, as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor???s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing preferred
3+ years relevant experience required.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Possesses knowledge of effective marketing strategies.
Exhibits knowledge of company identity, mission, and goals.
Demonstrates strong writing and editing skills and communicates clearly and effectively.
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to think critically.
Experience with Monday.com, Google Analytics, SEMRush, and/or Screaming Frog a plus.
Experience with project management software a plus.
Experience with website management/re-design a plus.
