How you make a difference: Our Graphic Design Specialist II knows the impact design has on telling our story and is skilled at getting buy-in from team mates and internal partners. The Cook Children’s brand is in your genes and you help educate others on the why of our brand and the protection of it. You believe in our Promise to improve the health of children and communicate that Promise in innovative and creative marketing collateral pieces and web/digital/motion graphic designs. You can easily present to internal partners, guide external vendors and freelance designers. You love using design to connect people, projects and brand together to help patients, families, donors and employees feel comfort and excitement when engaging with Cook Children’s. You’re flexible in dealing with unanticipated projects that have tight turnaround times by adjusting schedules for other projects and clearly communicating those changes to teammates. Giving and taking direction from team mate and internal partners comes easily to you.

Associate’s degree or art school certification in graphic design, web design, visual communication, advertising or related field required.
Bachelor degree preferred.
Training in fine arts/graphic design.
Three to five years of related experience with progressive responsibilities.
Creative agency background, experience in graphic design for health care marketing design and/or nonprofits a plus.
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite – including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Some experience in UI/UX design software like Adobe XD and Sketch.
Comfort on both Mac and PC platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work flow.
Ability to analyze information, prioritize work, and make decisions.
Creativity, enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to meet deadlines and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
Must be diplomatic when dealing with challenging clients and teammates.
