ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, ANNUAL LEADERSHIP GIVING , Alumni Association , to represent the Institute at constituent visits or events, with the primary focus of building membership in the Annual Giving Leadership Circle which recognizes donors who support MIT through annual gifts of $2,500 or more. Will engage existing and potential donors through extensive outreach efforts, progressing to increased prospect work and managing, cultivating, and soliciting a regionally-based pool of prospects with annual giving potential of $1,000 to $100,000 annually. Specific attention will be applied to regional donors at these levels. Will develop, manage, and support a small portfolio of volunteers to aid in this process when applicable. A core expectation will be to engage annual donors in the compelling case for unrestricted support of the Institute.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; three years' annual giving experience, preferably in nonprofit fundraising environments; experience conducting donor solicitations; excellent interpersonal, emotional intelligence, and communication (written, verbal, listening) skills; attention to detail; self-motivated; proven record of accomplishment in a position requiring independent planning and efficient utilization of time and resources; discretion and good judgment with confidential information; and experience with Ellucian Advance Web, Evertrue or other enterprise fundraising systems and proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, and PowerPoint). Must be able multitask, prioritize diverse assignments/tasks, and meet deadlines without compromising quality in a demanding, high-volume work environment; work independently and contribute effectively to a collaborative environment; and engage and build relationships with colleagues, faculty, leadership, alumni, volunteers, donors, and other external constituents. Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time and work evenings and weekends.
This position will be hybrid, with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
