Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Administrator for the Dean's Office at the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR). The Senior Program Administrator works with other key members of the team to manage and grow the Strengthening Labor Standards Enforcement Program. The position is charged with high-level administrative activities related to projects and grant deliverables, including managing connections within Rutgers.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Launches and leads a new project designed to identify and implement support strategies to assist small businesses to adopt fair and equitable employment practices.
Responsible for working with other senior members of the team to create and implement communities of learning and practice and trainings for practitioners, academics, and other stakeholders.
Facilitates and expands partnerships with labor standards enforcement agencies, economic justice and worker advocates, community-based organizations, legal nonprofits, and policy organizations.
Researches and writes briefs on various topics related to labor standards enforcement.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in labor or community organizing.
Experience working in or partnering with government agencies.
Experience in project management and grant management (grant writing and reporting).
Experience and comfort with research and writing issue briefs.
MA/S or MBA (Business, Planning, Social Work, Public Policy, Labor Studies, Human Resources or other related).
Experience working on labor standards and or civil rights enforcement.
Experience with training and partnership development.
Computers, Software including Zoom, Word, Excel
