SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, STRATEGIC SERVICES AND INITIATIVES, Alumni Association-Technology Services and Initiatives Team, to provide advanced-level support for the executive director of technology services and initiatives, including handling complex calendar management and travel preparation. Will perform--under minimal supervision--high-level and diverse office administrative tasks to support the executive director and the team in managing the office workflow. Activities will include assisting with the logistical components of programs, meetings, and special projects; preparing budget projections and processing expenses; completing complex data entry and research for records maintenance; and providing representation of the unit within Alumni Association to the MIT community at large.
Job Requirements REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; five years' administrative, office, or related experience; excellent planning, problem-solving, time-management, customer service, decision-making, interpersonal, collaboration, and written and oral communication skills; sound judgment with confidential information; meticulous attention to detail; flexibility; and experience Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel), solid PowerPoint skills, database experience, proficiency with Windows, and willingness to learn additional computer skills and programs. Must be able to organize oneself and others; multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines without compromising quality in a demanding, high-volume work environment; foster a welcoming office environment; take initiative and anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change; and work independently and collaborate as a team member who is willing to lend a hand at all times. PREFERRED: a bachelor's degree, project coordination experience, familiarity with AdvanceWeb from Ellucian and Anthology Encompass, and advancement experience in a higher education/nonprofit environment. This position will be hybrid, with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
