The AutoCAD Analyst is responsible for the organization and maintenance of the electronic CAD building drawings, related files, and hard copy drawings/files. The incumbent will work individually and on teams on various projects including, but not limited to, construction, space planning, and furniture/equipment test fits.
Use computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD 2020) to develop designs, create or revise layouts, detail charts, graphs, and related illustrations for documentation.
Organize and maintain graphic standards and file system for production drawings. Ensure the integrity of the AutoCAD building documents/repository.
Work directly with architects, engineers, and consultants to confirm that project documentation adheres to institutional standards.
Conduct audits and field validation to compare current conditions to existing floor plans. Modify existing drawings to reflect necessary changes and update as-built drawings.
Prepare and maintain CAD files for the Archibus Space Management system.
Prepares special studies as needed.
Manage external consultants to support drawing modifications as needed.
Assist with the identification and evaluation of new technology to manage facilities information.
Implement best design practices.
Performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field. [Or combination of education and relevant experience.]
Minimum (5) five years of experience using AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.
Knowledge of architectural and engineering design, codes, and drafting standards.
Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
AutoCAD skills for drafting, reporting, exporting and database linkage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
Archibus knowledge and BIM experience is desirable. Knowledgeof Autodesk Revit software is preferred.
